If my people.......

2 Chronicles 7:14....if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. This is one of the bibles most famous and well quoted scriptures. I make no appologies for quoting it here again. You see Gods word is real and at that, true,

alive and very very much active today.

The words that were spoken then and written in 2 Chronicles had God breathed power. They were and still are alive and active today, (Hebrews 4:12). God is still doing things in this land and in your life. If we remain, abide, in him he will work out HIS plan through us. Gods word still has power to accomplish what it was sent out to do, (Isaiah 55:11). So what has all this to do with being humbled. Quite simply this. We are humbled by what God is doing in this season. He is growing his Church, he is nurturing his people and his word is, "prospering in the thing for which he sent it", (Isaiah 55:11).

If you are reading this, pray. If you need to see answers to prayer in your life, your families life, your work life, your Church, keep praying. Pray and wait, pray and stay, abide. Live, Acts 17:28 says, "In him we live and move and have our being". Thank God for his answers that will come in his time and wait. Live life, serve God and leave your prayers in the hands of the one who is able to answer. You will be amazed at what he can do, Praise him, never loose the wonder of him who is able to do above and beyond what you can ask or even imagine, (Ephesians 3:20-21), worship him, share his love abroad, tell your faith story and thank him for every good thing in your life.

To re affirm, 2 Chronicles 7:14 is Gods promise, he keeps his promises, even if we don't see the answers, the answers will be seen. From generation to generation he is God, (Psalms 90:1). This is why we are humbled, we are seeing God answer the prayers of the previous generation. I can imagine them cheering on all the saints in that great cloud of witnesses. So let us fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, (Heb 12:2), and pray.
